Étreintes examines the relationship between a garment’s intended form and the shape it takes through contact with another body. Through asymmetry, displacement and altered construction, familiar clothing archetypes are transformed by proximity, tension and encounter. The project approaches clothing as a mutable object, defined as much by interaction as by design.
